how to make sky and landsacepe in 3ds max

In this tutorial ill will show you how to make sky in 3ds max.
i will try to make it as easy as possible step by step

1.first step create a sphere and then in hemisphere change the value from 0.00 to 0.5


2.now in this step we will have to apply normal modifier to it.
first click on the blue curved thing which shown on the image as 1 then find normal modifier
i usually just click n to find it faster.
After that you will see you're sphere black colored.



3. now add edit mesh modifier .I am sure you how to do it by now just search for the edit mesh modifier .when you have edit mesh applied to it zoom in the sphere and go inside it.In edit mesh
(In selection) select vertex its a 3 doted icon.In the center of the sphere we will have to delete
the vertical which is circled in the picture .select it and press 'Del' button.



4.Now that we have done quarter of the job we will start making landscape first start with
a basic plane shape.Make it bigger than the sphere and make Length segs and Width segs
100x100


top view of it it has to look something like that except more segs i just took before i added more segs. click on 'M' button then you will
see material editor .Click on maps select Diffuse Color choose noise

Now change the values to what you see on the picture when you finish click on the plane
and add displace modifier . Where it says in displace map drag the noise(noise button) on it and click instance

Now we can make another noise material to add more detail .Do the same as i told you
and change the values as shown on image :


Add another displace modifier to the plane and drag the new noise to the map button
and click instance it should look like that NOTE I CHANGED THE PHASE IN NOISE
TO GET A DIFFERENT RESULT AND I LIKE IT MORE LIKE THAT SO YOU DO
WHATEVER YOU WANT YOU CAN CHANGE AND PLAY WITH IT:
Now lets make the "sun" just click on mouse arrow icon and click on systems (two gears)
click on sun light and create sun.now we have the lights ready .

now sky material!. This took me a while to figure it out WHAT YOURE ABOUT TO SEE IS A MATERIAL OF SKY WITH NO TEXTURES USED.
click 'm' pick empty material (the third one) OK what i think ill just show picks more than writing text that will be much easier.
click on diffuse color and pick falloff and in falloff type pick Fresnel
OK this shows all: PLEASE CLICK ON THE IMAGE ITS NOT CLEAR ON WEB PAGE


So now its ready DONT FORGET TO CHANGE SELF ILLUMINATION TO 100
then drag the material on the sphere and there we go!
